Tinubu Mourns Fallen Troops in Boko Haram Attack in Borno

President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep shock over the loss of soldiers from the 29 Task Force Brigade of Operation HADIN KAI, killed in a coordinated Boko Haram attack on their camp in Benisheikh, Borno State. The Defence Headquarters confirmed the early Thursday assault and the tragic deaths of several officers under Brigadier-General Oseni Omoh Braimah. In an official statement, Tinubu extended heartfelt condolences to the military and the families of the fallen. He urged the Armed Forces to stay resolute, honouring their colleagues’ sacrifice with courage and patriotism. The President reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to equipping troops and ensuring their welfare. Tinubu called on Nigerians and the media to support the military’s fight against insurgency and to reject any celebration of violence. He vowed that the nation will never forget the bravery of these heroes and that their sacrifice will strengthen Nigeria’s resolve to defeat terrorism.
