UK Court Hears Nigerian Student Was Killed After Dispute Over Fake Rolex
A UK court has heard that Nigerian student Khaleed Oladipo died after he was allegedly attacked in Leicester following a dispute over money connected to a fake Rolex watch. Prosecutors said Oladipo, a De Montfort University student, had known fellow student Harper Dennis through online gaming. Their friendship reportedly deteriorated after Dennis was unable to sell a watch allegedly supplied by Oladipo. Financial transfers, threatening calls and messages were presented as evidence of the dispute. Dennis is accused of attacking Oladipo on Oxford Street on 3 February 2026. He denies murder, possession of a bladed article and failing to provide the access code to his phone, maintaining that he acted in self-defence. The trial at Leicester Crown Court is continuing.
