CAF President Patrice Motsepe Dismisses South African Presidency Rumours

Patrice Motsepe has firmly ruled out any plan to run for president of South Africa in 2029. Speaking in Johannesburg, the CAF president said he has no political ambitions despite speculation. Motsepe emphasised that South Africa already has many capable leaders. He added that he remains fully committed to his role at CAF and has no intention of entering politics or pursuing the FIFA presidency. His comments follow growing debate within the ANC over President Ramaphosa’s successor. Motsepe stressed that he will continue focusing on football administration and his business interests.
