Urhobo Stakeholder Opposes Any Move of Industrial Park From Delta Central
I have received information suggesting that Senator Ede Dafinone may be considering moving the proposed Industrial Park from Delta Central to Delta South. I hope this information is untrue. If relocation is necessary, the project should remain in Delta Central and within Urhobo territory, including Agbarho, Udu or another suitable kingdom. The claim that Delta Central is landlocked should not be used to justify moving the project. Industrial facilities operate successfully in landlocked areas, and concerns about roads, logistics or access to waterways should be addressed through infrastructure development. I am prepared to make land available in Orhokpokpor, Agbarho, if needed. I believe moving such a strategic project outside Delta Central would deny Urhobo communities jobs, business opportunities and wider economic growth. I will oppose any such decision through legitimate democratic means, regardless of party affiliation. If the relocation reports are false, the public should be clearly informed.
