Understanding Jesus Christ and the Gift of Salvation
Jesus Christ is central to the Christian faith. Scripture teaches that though He is God, He took human form, lived in humility and died on the cross. God then exalted Him above every name. The name Jesus points to God as our salvation, while Christ means the Anointed One. Christians believe that Jesus came to save people from sin and offer forgiveness, new life and eternal hope. Through faith in Him, believers become children of God. If you are ready to accept Jesus Christ, pray sincerely: “Lord Jesus, I believe that You died for my sins and rose again. I receive You as my Lord and Saviour. Forgive me, lead me in Your ways and help me to live for You. Amen.” If you have prayed this prayer in faith, begin growing by reading the Bible, praying and joining a Bible-believing church.
