Online videos suggested he was beaten, but Igbokwe denied any assault in a statement today. He clarified what happened during his market visit. He warned that if traders had attacked him, Lagos authorities might close the market for up to a year. He insisted that Lagos is not part of the South East and urged traders to respect the state’s laws.
