Terrorists Attack Kemanji in Kwara, Kill Four Soldiers and Abduct Residents
Terrorists launched a pre-dawn raid on Kemanji community in Kaiama LGA of Kwara State. They struck around 3:00 a.m., firing sporadically and forcing residents to flee as panic spread. Security forces, including Nigerian Army soldiers and local vigilantes, engaged the attackers in a fierce two-hour gun battle. Community sources say the heavily armed assailants used explosives to weaken a military position before overrunning it. Four soldiers were killed and a vigilante member is critically wounded. Dozens of residents remain missing amid fears they were taken by the terrorists. Vehicles and motorcycles were also seized before the gunmen fled. Tension remains high in the area and authorities have yet to issue an official statement.
