DSS Arrests Alleged Impostor in Abuja Over Extortion of Motorists

The Department of State Services has arrested Moferewa Maiye in Abuja for allegedly impersonating a DSS officer and extorting motorists. He was arrested at a hideout near NITEL Junction on Adetokunbo Ademola Way, Wuse II. The DSS said he was dressed in tactical uniform and had a fake pistol when he was apprehended. The suspect reportedly told investigators that the uniform and other kit belonged to his late brother, who he claimed was a DSS officer. The Service is investigating how he obtained the items and whether he has carried out similar acts in the past.
