Arokodare Scores Late Equaliser as Ajax Draw 2-2 With Excelsior
Tolu Arokodare came off the bench to earn Ajax a 2-2 draw against Excelsior in their Eredivisie clash on Saturday night. Julian Brandt gave Ajax the lead after the half-hour mark, but Lennar Hartjes levelled the score in first-half stoppage time. Aymen Sliti then put Excelsior ahead in the 62nd minute. Arokodare restored parity two minutes later after replacing Kasper Dolberg. The goal was the Nigerian international's sixth in all competitions for Ajax this season. Ajax remain second in the league table with 14 points from seven matches and will face NEC Nijmegen in their next fixture.
