Identifying God’s Promised Heir: Jesus and Qur’an 2:30

The Qur’an says God told the angels, “I am about to establish on earth the one who will inherit it” (2:30). While some Muslims view Adam as that heir, I argue Adam failed and could not fulfill God’s original plan. Only Jesus fits the promise. To inherit the earth means to rule, provide, judge, and reveal God’s will. No prophet claims this title except Jesus, who declared, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me” (Matthew 28:18–19). The Bible calls Jesus the Son of God and the rightful heir (Romans 8:17). In the coming kingdom, evil, death, and false religion vanish. Jesus alone is our head and fully represents God.
