Cute Abiola Supports Drone Maker’s Journey to Becoming a Commercial Pilot
Comedian and skit maker Cute Abiola says he spent more than ₦40 million on the aviation education and accommodation of Aliu Musa Damilola, a local drone maker pursuing his childhood dream of becoming a pilot. Musa said his interest in aviation began early in life and led him to build remote-controlled aircraft from scratch. Footage shared by Cute Abiola traces their meeting in 2023 to Musa’s progress through commercial pilot training. Cute Abiola said Musa now needs about $30,000 for an aircraft type rating, the qualification required to fly a particular type of aircraft. Musa also demonstrated his training by taking the comedian on a flight.
