Barau FC Open NPFL Season With 3-1 Win Over Nasarawa United
Barau FC began their Nigeria Premier Football League campaign with a 3-1 victory over Nasarawa United at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano. Joseph Atule gave the hosts an early lead in the 14th minute. Nasarawa United drew level through Abubakar Abdullahi six minutes later, before Barau FC took control late in the match. Al-Amin Umar restored Barau FC’s lead in the 78th minute with a long-range strike after a cross from Sugau Aliyu. Aliyu then sealed the win four minutes later with another effort from outside the box. Coach Eugene Agbabe praised his players’ determination and said tactical substitutions helped secure the result. He added that the team would continue working on areas that need improvement.
