IGP Disu Vows Tougher Crackdown After Three Officers Killed in Zamfara

Inspector General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu has said the recent loss of three officers will only harden the force’s resolve against banditry, kidnapping and other violent crimes. He spoke during the funeral prayer in Zamfara State where he joined grieving families, fellow officers and community members to honour the fallen heroes. The IGP also visited the state command to console personnel and reaffirm support for their operations. Disu described the officers as courageous and urged colleagues to stay focused, disciplined and professional. He stressed that their ultimate sacrifice must inspire renewed action to restore lasting peace in Zamfara. The IGP commended recent successes under intelligence-led policing. He promised improved logistics, welfare and inter-agency cooperation to sustain the fight against criminal networks across the state and country.
