Mr Macaroni Slams FCT Minister Wike’s ‘Shoot’ Threat Against TV Host

Comedian Adebowale “Mr Macaroni” Egbedore has condemned FCT Minister Nyesom Wike after the minister said he wished he could shoot Channels TV anchor Seun Okinbaloye. The threat came after Okinbaloye questioned whether Nigeria risks becoming a one-party state. During a media chat, Mr Wike criticized Okinbaloye’s remarks on the derecognition of the African Democratic Congress leadership by INEC. He declared, “If there was any way to break the screen, I would have shot him,” over concerns about democratic competition ahead of 2027. Reacting to this threat, Mr Macaroni called Wike’s comments tyrannical, warning that public servants abuse power when they face no consequences.
