APC Agent Allegedly Blocks Counting of Accord Ballots at Oyetola’s Polling Unit

Ballots cast for Accord were reportedly voided at Polling Unit 10, Ward 1, Lado Hill, Boripe LGA, where Marine and Blue Economy Minister Adegboyega Oyetola voted. An agent wearing an APC tag allegedly insisted that the ballots should not be counted, citing an “order from above.” The presiding officer reportedly objected at first but later yielded after police and other security personnel left the area. Party agents were then said to have collected ink from electoral officials and manually voided the Accord ballots. The recorded results were ADP: 1, ADC: 5, AA: 2 and APC: 242.

What official procedure determines whether ballots for Accord are voided, and has any election body addressed the reported instruction?

Exactly, the rules should lead here, not any agent's instructions. Clear official clarification would settle the matter.

The allegation is troubling because every ballot deserves transparent handling, especially at a polling unit linked to a prominent political figure.

An APC tag alone does not settle what happened; the reported voiding and the claimed order should be independently verified.
