Wike Says FCT Projects and Security Gains Will Boost Tinubu’s 2027 Chances

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike says President Bola Tinubu can win the Federal Capital Territory in 2027, citing infrastructure projects, security initiatives and engagement with indigenous communities. Speaking during a media chat in Abuja, Wike said road projects linking areas such as Apo-Karshi and Kubwa-Bwari were helping to connect satellite towns to the city centre. He added that 10 more projects were expected to be ready for inauguration in December. The minister also said new police stations were being built across the area councils and argued that the administration had made more room for FCT indigenous interests through appointments and traditional institutions. He said residents would ultimately decide the election through the ballot.
