Zenith Bank Confirms Cyberattack Exposed Customers’ Emails and Phone Numbers

Zenith Bank says a cyberattack exposed limited customer contact information, including email addresses and phone numbers. The bank said its banking services, digital channels and customers’ funds were not compromised. The lender said it activated its incident-response procedures after detecting the breach and is investigating the full extent of the attack. It described the incident as part of a wider global attack affecting organisations in several sectors. Customers have been advised to be alert for phishing emails, text messages and calls. Zenith Bank stressed that customers should never share their passwords, PINs, one-time passwords or other security credentials with anyone.
