How Food Content Creation Took Me From Ghana to Nigeria and Beyond
I grew up in Ghana watching my mother work as a caterer, but I never imagined food would become my career. During the 2020 lockdown, I began filming recipes with my phone and sharing them online. What started as a hobby slowly became a path into food blogging, teaching and travel storytelling. Learning from Nigeria’s growing food-content scene helped me see that I could build a sustainable career. I have since trained more than 1,000 people in content creation, social media management and food blogging, while using my platform to explore the stories behind African dishes. My travels, including visits to Nigeria, have shown me how connected African food cultures are. I want to go beyond tasting meals by visiting markets, meeting local cooks and understanding the history behind each dish. Through my work, I hope to challenge stereotypes and help more Africans tell their own food and culture stories.
