One Life at a Time: Let Kindness Meet a Real Need
Matthew 10:42 reminds us that even a small act of kindness matters to God. Les Goldberg chose to help homeless people by using his savings to provide a home that serves as temporary shelter and a drop-in centre. Residents can receive mail, make calls, pursue job opportunities and access donated items. The house has clear rules: no alcohol, drugs or loitering. He did not see homeless people as irresponsible or hopeless. He saw people in pain who needed support.
