How IReV and Electronic Result Collation Helped Adeleke Win
The partial electronic transmission of results through IReV was a major factor in Ademola Adeleke’s victory in Osun State. Although full real-time transmission was not achieved, the electronic collation process made it harder to alter figures after voting. Similar concerns were raised after the Edo election and the 2023 presidential election. Nigeria still needs stronger electoral safeguards. Voters and party agents must remain vigilant and ensure that INEC officials upload accurate figures from BVAS devices.
