Atletico Madrid Report Barcelona Over Alleged Improper Pursuit of Julian Alvarez

Atletico Madrid have lodged a complaint with the Spanish Football Federation over what they consider Barcelona’s improper approach for Julian Alvarez. The dispute follows reports that Barcelona were preparing a major bid for the Argentine forward, who is contracted to Atletico until 2030 and has indicated he wants to leave. Barcelona are expected to challenge the complaint. Real Madrid were also linked with a reported €150 million offer, which Atletico rejected. Alvarez joined Atletico from Manchester City in 2024 and has scored 49 goals in 106 appearances for the club.
