Lagos Begins Online Pension Verification for Eligible Retirees October 26

The Lagos State Pension Commission will conduct an online biannual verification exercise for pensioners under the Defined Benefit Scheme from October 26 to November 25, 2026. The exercise covers retired heads of service, permanent secretaries, pensioners under the Teaching Service Commission, and those under the Civil Service Pension Office. LASPEC said the process is strictly online, and affected retirees should not visit its office for verification. Pensioners will need their Oracle number and surname to log in, then provide their BVN or NIN, update their personal and next-of-kin details, and use their camera for identity confirmation. Eligible retirees are advised to complete the process before the deadline and contact the appropriate pension office for support.
