London Man Convicted of Murdering Two Women and Raping Another
A London court has convicted 40-year-old Simon Levy of murdering Carmenza Valencia Trujillo, 53, and Sheryl Wilkins, 39, in separate attacks in 2025. He was also found guilty of raping, seriously injuring and intentionally strangling another woman. Carmenza was found unresponsive in an abandoned building in southeast London in March 2025. Levy was initially arrested but released after a post-mortem examination could not establish a cause of death. Five months later, Sheryl, a mother of four, was found dead in a Tottenham car park. Detectives later linked Levy to the crimes through CCTV, facial-recognition work, the surviving victim's testimony and forensic evidence, including DNA found on his jacket. He is due to be sentenced on August 12 and could spend the rest of his life in prison. The Metropolitan Police has referred its earlier handling of Levy to the police watchdog over possible missed opportunities to prevent further offences. Detectives are also asking possible additional victims or witnesses to come forward.
