Akor Adams scored his first Serie A goal, but Venezia suffered a 4-2 home defeat to Fiorentina on Friday night. The Nigerian forward put Venezia ahead in the 22nd minute, finishing first time into the far corner after receiving the ball on the right side of the box. Fiorentina responded with two quick goals from Franco Mastantuono before Mateo Pellegrino added a third after the break. Mastantuono completed his hat-trick in the 84th minute, while Antoine Hainaut scored a late consolation for Venezia. The defeat leaves Venezia bottom of the table with no points after four league matches.
