Plateau Son Mourns Pastor Father, Mother and Siblings Killed by Bandits

On April 30 in Gako village, Plateau State, Rev. Ayuba Choji, his wife Chundung and their two children were laid to rest after bandits attacked their home in the early hours of April 27. Their only surviving son, Weng Choji, shared photos from the funeral on Facebook. He thanked God for sparing his life even as he grieves the loss of his entire family. In his post, Weng appealed for justice and vowed that the memory of his loved ones would fuel the search for accountability in what residents describe as a fresh wave of violence in Riyom Local Government Area.
