Heartbreak in Jos River: Young Boy Drowns While Swimming

A young boy drowned in a river in Jos, Plateau State. He and his younger brother had gone to swim together when the elder ventured into deeper water. After waiting too long on the shore, the younger brother raised the alarm and sought help from nearby residents. Some people entered the water and pulled the boy out. Sadly, he was confirmed dead at the scene. The incident was reported in a local Facebook post on May 25, 2026.
