Lions’ CB Terrion Arnold Arrested Over Alleged $250,000 Kidnap and Robbery Plot
Terrion Arnold, the 23-year-old cornerback for the Detroit Lions, has been arrested in Florida on charges of leading a kidnapping and armed robbery operation. Tampa police say Arnold and six others lured three men to an apartment in Largo, allegedly beat them at gunpoint, pistol-whipped them and stole personal property valued at over $250,000. One of the victims, believed to be Arnold’s personal driver, denies any role in the initial robbery that sparked the plot. Investigators report Arnold coordinated the attack through a group chat, arranged the meeting and directed his co-conspirators before arriving at the scene. He faces four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery, each punishable by life in prison if convicted. Arnold turned himself in on June 24 and maintains his innocence. His agency and the Lions have issued statements asserting there is no credible evidence linking him to the crime and expressing confidence in his ultimate vindication. He is due to make his first court appearance in Hillsborough County this week.
