Azerbaijan Remains Seated as Delegations Walk Out During Netanyahu’s UN Address
Nearly 70 delegations reportedly walked out of the UN General Assembly hall, or left their seats vacant, as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu began his address. The protest included several Arab and Muslim-majority countries, alongside delegations from Africa, Latin America and Europe. Azerbaijan, a Muslim-majority country, maintained its representation in the hall. The post praised Azerbaijan’s decision as a sign of its friendship with Israel.
