Twining Ovaltine, the British beverage maker, is launching a £24 million manufacturing plant in Lagos, Nigeria. This will be its first facility on the African continent. The new factory will create over 100 direct jobs and serve as an export hub for the company’s products across the West African sub-region. According to a statement from the UK’s Department of Business and Trade, the investment will boost exports and strengthen economic ties between the UK and Nigeria. The announcement comes during President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s historic state visit to the UK, which aims to deepen bilateral trade and investment.
