Kano Gives Anti-Drug Task Force Five Vehicles for Enforcement Operations
The Kano State Government has provided five operational vehicles to the Special Task Force on Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking to strengthen enforcement against substance abuse and drug-related crime. The vehicles include four 2025 Toyota Hilux trucks and a Toyota Hiace bus. They were handed over to the task force at the Kano Government House Cabinet Office. Officials said the vehicles would improve mobility, intelligence coordination and field operations. The multi-agency task force works with security agencies, health professionals, traditional and religious institutions, and civil society groups. Its mandate includes identifying drug distribution networks, supporting enforcement, raising public awareness and promoting rehabilitation, especially for young people.
