NSCDC Arrests Suspected Kano Motorcycle Thief, Recovers Bikes and 11 Number Plates
The Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has arrested a 45-year-old man suspected of belonging to a motorcycle theft syndicate operating in Kano metropolis. The suspect was arrested at his home in Gaida, Kumbotso LGA, after intelligence officers tracked a motorcycle with a Jigawa registration number to the residence. Officers reportedly recovered two motorcycles suspected to have been stolen, including one taken from a hospital premises in Rijiyar Zaki along Gwarzo Road. The NSCDC also recovered 11 motorcycle number plates, several motorcycle keys, screwdrivers and pliers. The alleged syndicate leader, known as “S-Guy,” is still at large, and the command says a manhunt is underway. The suspect will be investigated and prosecuted if evidence supports the allegation. Residents have been urged to share useful information that can help security agencies prevent crime.
