FIFA Accepts NFF Officials’ Resignations as Nigerian Football Reform Talks Continue
FIFA has formally accepted the resignations of former Nigeria Football Federation President Ibrahim Gusau, General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi and other executive committee members, according to National Sports Commission Director General Bukola Olopade. Olopade and NSC Chairman Shehu Dikko met with senior FIFA officials in Zurich to discuss the situation and the proposed reform of Nigerian football. Former NFF President Amaju Pinnick, acting NFF General Secretary Emmanuel Ikpeme and legal director Okey Obi also attended. Olopade said FIFA pledged to continue engaging with the Sports Commission, NFF administration and other stakeholders on a framework aimed at improving the governance and global performance of Nigerian football.
