Armed Bandits Kidnap Ten Residents in Kaduna Community
Bandits invaded Unguwar Sabon-Titi near Katari-Hayin Dam in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State around 9:32 pm on Thursday, April 2, 2026. Witnesses say the gunmen entered one compound and abducted seven members of the Amos family before moving to a neighbouring house and seizing three more residents. A local resident confirmed to a national daily that the attackers carried sophisticated weapons but held their fire near the Divisional Police Officer’s home. They only began shooting after moving the victims out of town. The kidnapped include Jummai, Barnabas, Iko, Baby, Eunice, Eshiwan and Godwin Amos, alongside Bagudu Damisa, Evelyn Damisa and Alfred Iriyo. Community leaders attempted to alert security operatives immediately but could not reach them. A security source says forces are now combing nearby forests to rescue the victims alive. Neighbours have been gathering at the scenes to offer support and sympathize with the affected families.
