Nigerian Army Opens SSCC 50/2027 Applications; Deadline Is 17 October
The Nigerian Army has opened applications for Short Service Combatant Commission Course 50/2027. Applications are free and close on Saturday, 17 October 2026, according to the Army’s official recruitment portal. This is a graduate-entry programme, not an SSCE recruitment. Applicants need at least a Second Class Lower degree or Lower Credit HND, with tertiary qualifications obtained from 2018 onwards. Other requirements include Nigerian citizenship by birth, NYSC discharge for civilian applicants, medical and physical fitness, no criminal conviction, and the stated age and height requirements. Applicants should ignore any recruitment portal that started collecting details before the Army’s official announcement. The Army also advises the public to wait for its official radio, television and portal announcements rather than relying on WhatsApp messages or blogs. Other federal recruitment portals may be active even when no application cycle is open. Do not pay anyone for a form, slot or processing assistance. Confirm every announcement through the relevant agency’s official channels before sharing your NIN, BVN or personal details.
