Kamaru Usman Set to Meet Fans During UFC Abu Dhabi Showdown Week
Former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman will meet fans during Abu Dhabi Showdown Week ahead of UFC 333 on Saturday. The Nigerian-born fighter returns to a city where he defended his title against Jorge Masvidal at Fight Island in July 2020. Usman said Abu Dhabi holds special memories for him and praised the energy of UFC fans in the city. He is scheduled to appear at Yas Mall on Wednesday alongside Marwan Rahiki and Jean Silva. The week will also include an open workout with featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski, challenger Movsar Evloev, Merab Dvalishvili and Petr Yan. Volkanovski is set to defend his title against Evloev, while Dvalishvili faces Yan in a bantamweight title bout.
