7 Nollywood Stars and Filmmakers Building Film Villages Across South-West Nigeria

Seven Nollywood actors and filmmakers are listed as owners of private film villages across Oyo, Lagos, Ogun and Ondo states. Oyo State leads the list with four locations: Kunle Afolayan’s KAP Film Village and Resort, Ibrahim Chatta’s Africhatta Film Village and Resort, Dr. Oreofe Williams’ City of Talents Academy Film Village, and Sunday Esan’s Okiki Film Village. Other listed facilities are Bolanle Austen-Peters’ BAP Film Village in Lagos, Dele Odule’s Ibudo Asa Film Village in Ogun, and Abiola Makinde’s Ekiwood Film Village in Ondo. The growing number of such spaces highlights investment in film production, training and tourism in South-West Nigeria.
