RSUTH Unveils Advanced Eye-Care Equipment in Port Harcourt

The Rivers State University Teaching Hospital has unveiled new ophthalmology equipment and a VIP clinic during its 2026 Ophthalmology Day celebration in Port Harcourt. The equipment includes an Optical Coherence Tomography machine for retinal and optic-nerve imaging, a phacoemulsification machine for cataract surgery, and a Visionix multimodal analyser for eye assessments. Hospital officials said the new facilities will strengthen specialised eye-care services for patients in Rivers State. The equipment was commissioned at the hospital’s annex on Aba Road.
