Open Heavens Daily Devotional, October 12, 2026: Keep Your Lamp Burning

Today’s devotional reflects on Luke 12:35 and the parable of the ten virgins in Matthew 25:1–9. It encourages believers to remain spiritually alert, keeping their lamps burning through prayer, God’s word and a steady relationship with Christ. The message contrasts the wise virgins, who carried extra oil, with the foolish virgins, who were unprepared when their lamps went out. It teaches that yesterday’s spiritual strength is not enough for today’s challenges, so believers should continually renew their faith. Believers are urged to flee sin and anything that weakens their walk with God. The prayer focus is for grace to remain watchful, spiritually refreshed and ready until the end.
