NDDC Launches Three-Day Public Procurement Training in Port Harcourt
The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has kicked off a three-day capacity building programme on public procurement in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The workshop runs from July 13 to 15 at Galaxy Signature (Osborne La-Palms) Hotel. In his opening remarks, NDDC Managing Director Chief Samuel Ogbuku emphasised transparency, accountability and full compliance with the Public Procurement Act. He urged participants to align all contracts with the Commission’s Annual Procurement Plan and to uphold due process. Emeka Ezeh, pioneer Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement, led the opening session and highlighted global best practices in procurement. Top NDDC executives and directors, including the Director of Procurement Dr. Chuks Osuji, are attending as part of efforts to strengthen institutional capacity and professionalism.
