Anambra Woman Arrested After Daughter, 7, Is Allegedly Burned With Hot Knife
Security operatives in Anambra State have arrested a 32-year-old woman over the alleged abuse of her seven-year-old daughter in Obosi, Idemili North LGA. The child was rescued on September 13 after community security personnel in Awada-Obosi and residents reportedly discovered she had suffered severe injuries. Police said preliminary findings indicate that some of the injuries were allegedly inflicted with a hot knife. The Anambra Police Command said the woman is in custody and that a thorough investigation is underway. Authorities said the child’s safety and welfare remain their priority.
