Nathaniel Bassey Releases Seven-Track Live Album, “The Life Recording”

Nigerian gospel minister and trumpeter Nathaniel Bassey has released a new seven-track live album, “The Life Recording”, recorded on 14 August 2026. The project centres on worship, gratitude and spiritual renewal. Bassey leads most of the songs, while vocalist Mirabel Ekezie features on “Onye Kam Ga Si Na Oyiri Gi”. Other tracks include “Agbanilagbatan”, “Praise the Lord”, “The Potentate” and “New Beauty”. “The Battle Belongs to God”, co-written with Joshua Selman, draws from 2 Chronicles 20:15 and carries a message of faith through difficult seasons. Bassey also says “Glory To God in the Highest” was inspired during a church worship service.
