Wike Says Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election Is His Main Political Priority
FCT Minister Nyesom Wike says his main political focus is supporting President Bola Tinubu’s bid for a second term in 2027. Speaking in Abuja after inspecting road projects, Wike dismissed claims that the cross-party Rainbow Coalition was created to destabilise political parties. He said the group brings together people from different platforms who support Tinubu’s administration. Wike said members of the coalition are free to hold their political views but are being encouraged to support the President. He also compared the coalition to the G5 governors’ role in the 2023 elections, arguing that similar concerns were not raised at the time.
