Sanwo-Olu Appoints Prof. Badejo Olawunmi as LASU Vice-Chancellor
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved the appointment of Professor Badejo Ayodeji Olawunmi as the new Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU). The appointment was announced on September 9, 2026, by the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy. Professor Olawunmi is a Professor of Guidance and Counselling with postgraduate qualifications from the University of Lagos. She succeeds Professor Ibiyoke Olatunji-Bello, whose five-year tenure is ending with her retirement. The appointment marks a leadership transition at LASU.
