Doris Ogala Granted ₦30m Bail in Cyberstalking and Defamation Case
A Federal High Court in Lagos has granted Nollywood actress Doris Ogala bail of ₦30 million in a case involving charges of cyberstalking and defamation. The charges reportedly relate to statements about Dr. Chris Okafor and other public figures. The allegations have not been determined at trial. The bail conditions require two sureties: one must be a Grade Level 14 civil servant, while the other must be a Lagos Island property owner, a prominent political party leader or a recognised member of the clergy. Ogala was also directed not to publish unwarranted or intimidating material online while the case is ongoing and to maintain good behaviour. The ruling was delivered by Justice Akintayo Aluko on November 6, 2026. The trial is scheduled to continue on March 25, 2027.
