Obasanjo: Any Government Failing to Protect Lives Has No Right to Exist
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has condemned the rising insecurity in Nigeria. He told News Central that a government unable to secure the lives and property of its citizens “has no right of existence.” He also challenged lawmakers over pay, arguing that National Assembly members shouldn’t set their own salaries. He said the Revenue Mobilization and Allocation Commission, not legislators, should determine emoluments.
