Can Partners Always Spot Violent Tendencies Before It Is Too Late?
I often see public outrage when a man kills his girlfriend, but I keep asking how much a partner may have known about the kind of life he lived before the relationship turned violent. If someone openly associates with criminals, uses hard drugs or has no clear source of income despite living lavishly, should those signs not raise serious concerns? Many people ignore red flags, defend their partners and warn others not to interfere in their private lives. I believe we should have more honest conversations about recognising danger early, asking difficult questions and avoiding relationships that show signs of crime, violence or illegal activity. Calling for justice after a killing is necessary, but prevention and personal safety should also be part of the discussion.
