ISWAP Operative Surrenders in Konduga, Confesses to Three Attacks
A suspected ISWAP member voluntarily surrendered to troops of the 73 Battalion, Operation HADIN KAI, in Konduga LGA, Borno State on July 14, 2026. He approached soldiers in the Cashew Plantation area at around 6:47 p.m. after hiding his weapon in a river. During preliminary questioning, the suspect admitted he hailed from Warabe, Pulka in Gwoza LGA. He confessed to taking part in three separate attacks on Delwa and disclosed he abandoned his AK-47 rifle before surrendering. Security forces recovered a bicycle, cutlass, repair tools, a spoon and ₦6,500 in cash from him. He remains in military custody as investigators seek further intelligence on ISWAP networks across the North-East.
