Anambra Police Rescue Kidnap Victim, Arrest Seven Suspects and Recover Stolen Tricycle
The Anambra State Police Command says it rescued a kidnap victim, arrested seven suspects linked to separate criminal cases, and recovered a tricycle reportedly stolen during an armed robbery in Delta State. Police said two suspects were arrested in Nimo, Njikoka LGA, over the alleged abduction of a victim who was held for three days. The victim reportedly lost ₦7 million from bank accounts, while a Toyota Highlander SUV was allegedly taken during the incident. In a separate operation, officers tracked and recovered a TVS tricycle allegedly stolen in Asaba in April. Five suspects were arrested as investigations continue to identify the roles of those involved and locate other suspects still at large. The Commissioner of Police said the command would continue intelligence-led operations against kidnapping, armed robbery and other violent crimes.
