Semi Ajayi Wins Double Man of the Match Honour in Hull City Draw

Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi earned both the Premier League Player of the Match award and Hull City’s Man of the Match honour after a strong display in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Brentford. The Nigerian centre-back won five of his six tackles and added four clearances, five recoveries and two interceptions as Hull City responded to their previous defeat. He received 43.6 per cent of the votes in the club’s award. Ajayi said the players were pleased with their response but disappointed not to claim all three points at home. Hull City will hope to turn improved performances into wins as they battle to stay in the Premier League.
