Army Kills Two Lakurawa Terror Suspects in Sokoto Operation
Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA engaged suspected Lakurawa fighters in Ruwa Wiri village, Tangaza LGA, Sokoto State. They neutralised two suspects in a fierce gunfight and recovered two AK-47 rifles, ammunition and a motorcycle. In a parallel operation in Jibia, Katsina State, soldiers on patrol intercepted bandits moving 62 rustled livestock. The terrorists fled under pressure, allowing troops to recover the animals and return them to owners at the Daddara District Head’s palace. These actions form part of sustained military efforts to flush out terrorists and bandits across the North-West. Security forces urge residents to continue sharing credible and timely information.
